Summary: The StaffEZ Substitute Educational Assistant provides educational support in the classroom environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Report to the office upon arrival, check-in and out at the start and end of each day
- Meet and instruct assigned teacher/students in the locations and at the times specified
- Follow the assigned schedule for the day
- Support the classroom teacher as requested
- Support a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
- Assist students with assigned work
- May conduct small groups
- Monitor and support lunch room activities
- Assist administrators in implementing the policies and procedures of the school to maintain a safe learning environment for all students
- Demonstrate respect and fairness to all students and staff
- Maintain student confidentiality
- Be aware and willing to implement all school emergency procedures regarding lockdowns, fire drills, etc.
- Represent the district and StaffEZ in a professional manner by performing all job functions at a satisfactory or above level
- Interact with co-workers, administration, students, parents, and the community in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way
- Perform other related duties as required or requested, consistent with reasonable expectations for the contracted position
- Arrive to jobs on time and dressed according to dress code
- Display strong communication and interpersonal skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must pass a TN Criminal Background Check and FBI Finger Printing
- Must complete required Global Compliance Network training modules
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
- Occasional lifting, bending, and climbing of steps
- Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels
- Ability to supervise students outside in all types of weather
Hours & Compensation: Hours vary depending on the assignment. Pay based on educational qualifications.
