Servicing Gibson County Special School District
Summary: The Floor Technician/Custodian provides services as an employee of StaffEZ serving the district as part of a team that provides and maintain a clean, sanitary and safe environment by conducting disinfection of common spaces and ensuring floor surfaces are well maintained in a manner that supports the vision and mission of the district.
Essential Job Functions:
This is not an exhaustive list of the duties performed for this position.
- Responsible and accountable for conducting district-wide floor care, deep cleaning, and disinfection services at all assigned campus and facility locations
- Responsible for unlocking and securing campus as required
- Provide district-wide floor care and disinfection services at assigned locations. Duties include, but not limited to diagram room setup and furniture removal and replacement, scrub, strip and refinish floors, deep clean restrooms and locker rooms as outlined in the Custodial Handbook
- Follow established safety procedures
- Maintain equipment in good working order, operate disinfection and floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include, but not limited to disinfection machines, buffer/burnishers cleaning/finishing equipment, water extraction machine

- Participate in and provide training as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by District Custodial Staff, Assistant Director of Facilities Services
- Accurately reports and enters time into timekeeping program
- Represent the district in a professional manner by performing all job functions at a satisfactory or above level
- Interact with coworkers, administration, students, parents, and the community in a positive, supportive, and cooperative ways
- Performs other related duties, including special projects, as required or requested, consistent with reasonable expectations for the contracted position
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalence
- Completion of the required Global Compliance Network online training modules
- Demonstrated record of good attendance and punctuality
- Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication
- Must meet criminal history background requirements (requires FBI fingerprint and SOARS clearance)
- Experience in custodial work or equivalence preferred
Physical Requirements:
Heavy work which will require exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
