Position: Childcare
Serving Grainger County Schools

Summary:
The Childcare worker provides services as an employee of StaffEZ serving the district is responsible for planning, preparing and implementing developmentally appropriate practices that meet the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs of children and offering a stimulating environment.

Essential Job Functions (note this is not an exhaustive list of the duties performed for this position):

• Adhere to the School Administered Childcare Rules of TN Department of Education
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate preschool instruction
• Assist in the selection and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum
• Supervise students throughout the day
• Communicate with parents regarding academic, social, and behavioral development
• Coordinate with other teachers to integrate a variety of teaching strategies throughout the day
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• HS diploma or GED required
• Demonstrated record of good attendance and punctuality
• Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication
• Must meet criminal history background requirements (requires FBI Fingerprint and PSOR clearance)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels.
• Occasional climbing of stairs

Work Year, Hours & Compensation:
Based on rate of pay per education and degree.
