Position: Substitute Receptionist

Summary:
The Receptionist provides services as an employee of StaffEZ serving Franklin Special School District. Attend to visitors and respond to inquiries on the phone and face to face.  Provide general information regarding the organization to the general public, clients, and customers.
Essential Job Functions
Note: This is not an exhaustive list of the duties performed for this position. 
- Answer telephone, screen, and direct calls
- Take and relay messages for the central office staff
- Greet visitors entering the office and direct them to the correct destination
- Respond to queries from the public
- Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of the office
- Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness
- Provide general administrative and clerical support
- Prepare correspondence and documents
- Receive and sort mail and deliveries
- Schedule appointments, as needed
- Maintain appointment diary either manually or electronically
- Organize conference and meeting room bookings
- Coordinate meetings and organize catering
- Monitor and maintain office equipment
- Control inventory relevant to reception area
- Maintain the reception area
- Represent the district and PESG in a professional manner by performing all job functions at a satisfactory or above level
- Interact with co-workers, administration, students, parents, and the community in positive, supportive, and cooperative ways
- Performs other related duties, including special projects, as required or requested, consistent with reasonable expectations for the contracted position
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of related work experience
- Must complete the required Global Compliance Network online training modules
- Must possess intermediate computer skills
- Demonstrated use of office equipment (computers, phones, fax machines, copy machines)
- Demonstrated competence in the use of current Microsoft Office products e.g. Word, Excel and the ability to learn specific business systems in a timely and efficient manner
- Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret and implement a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Demonstrated record of good attendance and punctuality
- Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle high stress situations in a calm and appropriate manner, while making good decisions
- Demonstrated ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication
- Must meet criminal history background requirements (requires FBI Fingerprint and SOARS clearance)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift / carry up to 20 lbs. (Supplies / Equipment)
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Continuously required to talk and hear
- Occasional bending / squatting / reaching / kneeling / twisting
- Continuous computer and phone work is required
Work Hours & Compensation: Non-exempt.
